Paperfish's new website is live this evening! I'm quite stoked with it. The design is a fairly simple template which uses a series of gentle water images in the header, and they crossfade nicely using some very sexy Javascript and CSS manipulation.
I threw this together using the YUI toolkit and a lot of fooling around to get it to behave right. I think the overlaid images are still a single pixel out (to the right), but the effect is lovely.
James Percy is a man of many talents. By day, he's hard at work producing awesome content-managed websites for commercial outfits like Little Brother clothing and Happy Days restaurant. By night, he's the rhythm perfection drumming behind bands like The Tutts and Freaky Meat.
I've installed AdSense ads into the page footer now, just going to trial them out. We shall see. We shall see.
Width.NET has just been bumped up to Drupal 4.6.3. The Drupal install there is still in testing and evaluation but it looks pretty good! Drupal isn't for everyone with its emphasis on structured information nodes, but Width is specifically about constructing networks of information and thus Drupal is a near-perfect match. Konrad, my brother's mate, has just got konradk.co.nz up and running. Took us a couple of hours Piha time: me fooling with a Kubrick derivative I dubbed Konrick, Konrad writing his bio up in WordPress and James roasting the veges. Delicious! And I quite like the header graphic, which was a result of me pointing at a colour palette and saying "which colour do you like?" and Konrad answering "all of them". So that's what we did.
The elections have come and gone - amazing how quickly, it seems only a week or two ago that I put together a countdown ticker for Frog Blog but I know when it began it said forty-nine days (seven weeks ago then I guess). Now polling is over and it's time to go back to our ordinary lives.

Michael is a pal of mine whose talents extend in many many directions - one of which is that he's a pretty mean guitarist. At his request, I've put an MP3 of his composition 'Journey' for people to listen to ...
